This type specimen was made in the midst of the chaos that was April 2020. At this time, I was drawn into the safe world of books, and the font of their pages, Baskerville. The soft yet reliable glyphs in Baskerville create a calming emotional assurance. There is a warmth and humanity to it. It is a font someone would trust, it is a typeface which would hope that you would not live in interesting times, but in stable and balanced ones. The type specimen is presented in a book format, the most logical option considering Baskerville’s primary use. I hope the book will elicit feelings of tranquillity in the reader, while providing practical information on the typeface.
